Heart and Vascular Clinic

Our Services

The health of your heart is vitally important for your quality of life. Unaddressed coronary and vascular conditions can cause debilitating symptoms, making it difficult to work, sleep, or stay active.

At CardioVascular Health Clinic, we offer advanced screening modalities that can help you detect cardiac abnormalities early, when they are easiest to treat. We proudly provide accessible and affordable treatment options to central, western, and southern Oklahoma communities.

Heart Conditions Treated

The team at CardioVascular Health Clinic offers comprehensive, compassionate care for a broad spectrum of cardiac conditions, including the following:

  • Arrhythmia: Arrhythmias are abnormal or irregular heart rhythms. While everyone experiences the occasional heart flutter, prolonged or severe arrhythmias might indicate a significant medical issue. Your doctor can identify irregular or intense heartbeats during initial medical examinations (taking your pulse) or performing diagnostic exams.
  • Atrial Flutter: A disorder that causes the heart's upper chambers to beat too quickly. It is a form of arrhythmia, but while the heartbeat is abnormally quick, it is usually in a regular pattern.
  • Atrial Septal Defect (ASD): ASD is an opening in the heart's upper chamber that allows oxygen-rich blood to leak into the oxygen-poor blood chambers. ASD is a congenital heart defect. While it is often symptomless, it can contribute to ocular migraines and stroke.
  • Bradycardia: Bradycardia is an atypically slow heartbeat. This condition can lead to significant medical consequences requiring the placement of a pacemaker.
  • Cardiomyopathy: A potentially serious heart muscle disease that makes it difficult for the heart to pump blood to the body.
  • Congenital Heart Disease: Any disease or abnormality in the heart's structure present at birth.
  • Coronary Artery Disease: The buildup of plaques in the arterial walls that prevent optimal blood flow to the heart. Coronary artery disease is the most common form of heart disease in the United States.
  • Heart Attack: A heart attack is a common term for myocardial infarction. This condition is a major medical event when the heart muscle doesn't get sufficient blood. This can lead to heart muscle damage which can become permanent.
  • Heart Valve Disease: Heart valve disease is any condition that causes one or more heart valves to malfunction.

Heart Treatment and Procedures

Our skilled team of board-certified specialists can perform surgical and minimally invasive interventions when cardiac treatments are necessary.

Heart Catheterization

Heart catheterization is a treatment that can diagnose and address some cardiovascular issues. This involves the insertion of a long, narrow tube (catheter) into a vein or artery in the arm, neck, or groin. The catheter is then navigated through the blood vessel. This procedure is used to perform coronary stenting and coronary angioplasty.

Angioplasty and Stent Placement

Angioplasty might be recommended for patients with heart disease.

The procedure involves guiding a catheter with a balloon at its tip through a blood vessel to a blocked or narrowed artery. After the catheter has located the blockage, the balloon is inflated, creating an opening where blood can flow unobstructed. Once the opening has been made, a medical device called a stent is inserted. This mesh cylinder holds the artery open after the catheter is removed.

CardioVascular Health Clinic is one of Oklahoma's leading heart and vascular clinics. We offer advanced diagnostic imaging technology that can detect a broad spectrum of vascular and cardiovascular abnormalities. Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy

Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) is a treatment that uses a pacemaker to restore the normal timing pattern of the heartbeat.

Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator

An implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) is a heart care device designed to treat and prevent life-threatening arrhythmias and manage various heart rhythm problems. The ICD can deliver an electrical shock to the heart to restore normal rhythm (defibrillation). In addition, many ICDs also have pacing capabilities. ICDs are typically recommended for individuals at high risk of sudden cardiac death due to a history of certain cardiac conditions, such as those with a history of heart attack.
