Interventional Cardiologist
Dr. Dwayne Schmidt is an Oklahoma-native. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine and his Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and subsequently a Research and Interventional Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Harvard Medical School. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
He served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He was a founder of the Oklahoma Cardiovascular Associates, Oklahoma Foundation for Cardiovascular Research (OFCR), Oklahoma Cardiovascular Research Group (OCRG), and the Oklahoma Heart Hospital at Mercy.
He is co-founder of CardioVascular Health Clinic, Advanced CardioVascular Solutions, and Advanced Surgical and Research Solutions. Dr. Schmidt serves patients in Central and Western Oklahoma with complete cardiac care. When he is not seeing patients, he can be found farming, fishing, or traveling somewhere “off-the-grid”.
