
Interventional Cardiologist
Dr. Sherbet is a native Texan who graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a Crawford Scholar and a Terry Foundation Scholar. He obtained his MD with Distinction in Research at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where he was also a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Medical Student Research Fellow. He stayed at UT Southwestern for postgraduate training in internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology. During his postgraduate years he completed a basic science research fellowship in the laboratory of Nobel Laureates Drs. Michael Brown and Joseph Goldstein. He also performed clinical research in interventional cardiology under Dr. Emmanouil Brilakis. His research experience at UT Southwestern resulted in several presentations and publications in the fields of metabolism and interventional cardiology. He is board-certified in both Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Sherbet treats patients with all forms of heart disease. He is an expert in heart catheterization and minimally invasive procedures for opening blockages of the heart arteries as well as the arteries of the legs. After training he entered private practice in Little Rock, Arkansas from 2014-2025, treating numerous patients and performing thousands of successful procedures in patients suffering from heart disease. While in Arkansas he pioneered and ran a weekly Complex High-risk Indicated Procedures conference where interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and general cardiologists meet to review procedures and decision-making to better inform care of patients with complex heart disease. Dr. Sherbet is a National Merit Scholar and has been elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is excited about the opportunity to join CardioVascular Health Clinic and its mission of providing cutting-edge, patient-centered care to Oklahomans.
In his free time, he enjoys reading, movies, strength training, and Texas Longhorns football. He is married to Dr. Monica Lo, a cardiac electrophysiologist also practicing at CardioVascular Health Clinic. Together they love to travel the world, explore Oklahoma, and spend time with their daughter.
