Carlos Alberto Rueda, MD, FACS, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the field of vascular surgery. Born in El Paso, TX, and raised in Juarez, Mexico, Dr. Rueda's multicultural upbringing enriches his approach to patient care.
After excelling in his studies, Dr. Rueda earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Following medical school, he pursued advanced training in general surgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where he also conducted groundbreaking vascular surgery research.
Dr. Rueda further honed his skills through a vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship at Scott and White Medical Center, affiliated with Texas A&M School of Medicine. Under the mentorship of distinguished faculty such as Dr. Clifford Buckley, Dr. Ruth Bush, and Dr. William Todd Bohannon, he gained invaluable expertise in complex vascular procedures.
Board-certified in General and Vascular Surgery, Dr. Rueda has practiced in various settings, including private practice and hospital-based practice, in Denver, CO, and Albuquerque, NM. His commitment to advancing vascular care is evident through his participation in frequent training programs and his membership in esteemed medical societies such as the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, Society for Vascular Surgery, and fellowship with the American College of Surgeons.
