Cardiac Electrophysiologist
Born in Taiwan, Dr. Lo moved with her family to Texas when she was 12 years old. She graduated with honors from Rice University and then received her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She stayed at UT Southwestern to complete her internal medicine residency and fellowships in cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. Awarded the American Heart Association Women in Cardiology Trainee Award for Excellence, she continues to be an active member in national and international societies where she presents at these organizations’ annual meetings. Dr. Lo is board-certified in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology.
After fellowship, she moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, to establish a complex ablation program which became one of the busiest centers in the country in terms of patient volume and clinical research. Because of her patient-centered care and excellent outcomes, she was able to bring several cutting-edge technologies to Little Rock to benefit her patients, some of which were the first in the country. She has authored many important manuscripts and published in prestigious journals in cardiology. Now she looks forward to delivering exceptional care in Oklahoma City.
Electrophysiology procedures that Dr. Lo performs include live-saving interventions such as pacemakers to fix an abnormally slow heart rate (both transvenous and leadless) and defibrillators to prevent sudden cardiac death. As a leading expert in the treatment of atrial fibrillation, she is able to improve patients’ quality of life and reduce their risk of stroke by performing ablations and left atrial appendage closures. Other ablations that she performs (supraventricular tachycardia, atrial flutter, premature ventricular contraction, etc) restore normal heart rhythm and minimize the amount of medications that her patients take. She looks forward to establishing her new practice in Oklahoma and becoming part of the community!
