Dwayne A. Schmidt, M.D.
Dwayne A. Schmidt, M.D., earned his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine and his Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and subsequently a research and interventional Fellowship in Cardiovascular disease at Harvard Medical School. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He was a founder of the Oklahoma Cardiovascular Associates, Oklahoma Foundation for Cardiovascular Research (OFCR), Oklahoma Cardiovascular Research Group (OCRG), and the Oklahoma Heart Hospital at Mercy. In August of 2015, he joined with Dr Jim Melton to form the Cardiovascular Health Clinic, and recently they built and opened Advanced Cardiovascular Solutions, an out-patient cardiac and vascular catheterization lab, for the diagnosis and treatment of more advanced peripheral vascular and cardiac disease.
